Hindustani Music Stream:


Mr. Atindra Sarvadikar

Atindra started basic formal training in classical singing  at young age of five under guidance of mother Smt. Vrinda Sarvadikar. Then he took training under the guidance of Late Dattusinghji Gahervar Who was disciple of Padmabhushan Pt. VinayakRao Patwardhan. Since 2003, rigorous & systematic training continued under the able guidance and support of the esteemed vocalist Dr. Prabha Atre. He holds MA(Hindustani vocal Classical Music) and also Post Graduation degree from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mandal. He is also a Tabla Visharad. His other awards include 1st prize in youth festival, Sep 2003 and 1st prize from Mumbai Zone Youth festival in 2008. Was awarded outstanding young artist award from the Ministry of Culture, India in 2008. He was awarded with 'Swarbhaskar Pt.Bhimsen Joshi' scholarship in Mumbai.  He also sung for various radio and TV channels as a playback singer. We welcome Atindra and are proud to have a mentor like him.

 

Mr. Koushik Aithal

Mr. Koushik Aithal is a prominent artist of the younger generation. He has been honoured by several institutions, including a scholarship by the Government of India and Promising Artist Award by the ITC Sangeet Research Academy in 2006. Koushik proved his prowess to peers and masters in All India Radio national level Hindustani music competition, by winning the prestigious first prize. He is a graded artist of Doordarshan and All India Radio, both premier national broadcasting organizations. Recently Koushik was awarded  Jadubhatta puraskar from salt lake cultural academy Kolkata and the prestigious Pt.Basavaraja Rajguru Yuva Puraskar from Government of Karnataka. At SangeethShala, we are happy that he will be one of the mentors for the Hindustani music stream. With his help and guidance, music learners should have ample opportunity to improve and fine tune their skills from the young artist.

Carnatic Music Stream:

P Sai Charan Raju

Sai Charan has been in the career of music for past seven years since he graduated in music. He has done the foundation course in Carnatic Vocal from Sri Sathya Sai Mirpuri College of Music and further completed his Diploma from Potti Sreeramulu University. He has performed more than 100 concerts in various states of India and also abroad like countries like Malaysia. He has been conducting music concerts and workshops in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, MP, & Kerala for some years now propagating the importance of learning classical music. He also performs semi classical and bhajans awareness programme in these stations. He performed in All India radio and also on television for the program: "Swarasamaram” (Courtesy: DD, Hyderabad). He also performed on Sri Venkateshwara Bhakthi Channel, Tirupathi which was broadcasted recently. He also has proficiency playing instruments like Veena, Tabla, Dholak and Harmonium. His dedication has been awarded duly by Government of AP and was presented State Level Award in the category "Classical Music Service”. He further founded his own music school called "Swara Jhari” which caters to music learning. Above all, he has performed as a singer in the divine presence of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba at various events. At Sangeeth Shala, we are very proud to have his services offered to all the interested students. His dedication and sincerity in music will definitely help all those who enrol for the classical carnatic music.

Ms. Divyashri Prakash Kartik

Ms. Divyashri has more than eight years of teaching music online and also face to face teaching. Apart from teaching she is a regular performer of classical carnatic music in various capacities. She is a regular performer in Thyagaraja Aradhana Utsavas in Noida for the past few years. She has regular recordings for her clients for different short songs. Also her skills have given her opportunity to do voice overs to advertisements, short films, presentations in English and Hindi languages. She also has done recordings for classical lyricists. On the academic front, she holds an MBA from ICFAI Business School and specialised in HR and marketing. She also worked in various capacities as a banker, administrator and an HR consultant. With her rich experience and knowledge she will help and train the students in classical carnatic music. We are sure students enrolling will reap the benefits of her skill and vast experience in music.

 


Semi-Classical Music Stream:

Ms Rachana Raj
Ms Rachana has been practicing singing for over 12 years, She is currently pursuing senior grade under an esteemed singer, She has consistently delivered  programs both individual and in group for various professional and personal events. She has been personally chosen by Music Director Hamsalekha at his studio to be mentored under him.  Recently, she has performed in Doordarshan Channel for "Madura Madurave Manjula Gaana” which was broadcasted in Aug 2013. Also she sang in various famous temples both individual and also in a group. She had also created a personal album of 17 video songs with many classical hits among them and was highly appreciated by many esteemed Musicians like V. Manohar and Bala Krishna Guruji. She is also a key member of associations like Ragalahari. She will handle the semiclassical stream teaching students about Telugu, Kannada songs written by saints like Annamacharya, Purandaradasa etc.On the academic side, she is an MSc in BioTechnology from the University of Abertay Dundee, UK and completed her BSc from Jain College, Bangalore.

Instrumental Music Stream:

Ms Ketki Ponkshe

Ms Ketki Ponkshe is a distinguished violin performer from Mumbai. She holds Sangeet Visharad from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Miraj University. Her initial training was from Mr. Manohar Joshi where her foundation took place. Later, she continued her training from renowned violinst Sri Pt. D K Datar. She is a patient and experienced music trainer too. She has given solo performances at many places in India which includes Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad. She has also been invited to perform in the UK. She also accompanies other artists in Indian classical and Light Classical Music concerts. At SangeethShala, we are proud to have such a qualified and experienced violinst to help all our learners in the art of playing Hindustani violin.
